Carly Martin began her design studio, Clementine Studio in 2014 and now lives in Chicago where her studio has come alive. Awed by the endless beaches and expanse of Lake Michigan, she quickly fell for the city that’s so heavily inspired by a sense of play, similar to her own work. Chicago has wholeheartedly inspired her work with the neighborhoods bringing more whimsy and play into her illustrations. The lake, a giant playground and a constant stimulant with its’ ever-changing color and sweeping views illustrated in this design. When not painting at the studio, Carly can be found walking around Bucktown taking in its historic buildings and quirky characters to sketch from later.
